New Year party

This event was held successfully at the Hollywell Community Center, Watford.
The event was inaugurated by lighting of the oil lamp by the committe members, supporters and past presidents. Music and dance performances were presented by the past pupils of the Herts Tamil School. The president summarised the achievements of the Tamil Union of Herts over the years in the preseident's speech. The new year party ended with lively music and dancing session joined by all the attendees.

Annual general meeting 2023
The AGM 2023 was held at 1st bushes Heath Scouts Group Hall on 23rd July 2023 from 4.00 pm. President Dr Mrs Sivakumari Yogasakaran outlined the past achievements of TUH and future direction. Treasurer, Mrs Muriel Raymond, presented the Treasurer’s report, wich was passed. Future events, particularly the proposed cultural event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the association was discussed. Light refreshment and meals was served by the complement of TUH.
Charity Lunch organised by Tamil Union of Herts on 29th January 2023 at the Community Hall in Chorleywood, Rickmansworth.
This was attended by about 100 members and some non-members and was well received by the guests.
Event was opened by a religious song sung by Mr Yogendra “Tillai Ambala Nadarajah”. This was followed by the welcome speech by the president Dr Sivakumarie Yogasakaran. She welcomed the guests and also gave a brief history and description of the association, it’s charitable contributions to the various named charities over the last two years. The signature project of building 3 new houses in the Katkulam area that was handed over by the president herself was mentioned. She closed the speech by welcoming the guests who were non-members to join the association.
It was followed by food, drinks, music and dancing. Music was provided by Mr Raymond as a voluntary contribution to the association. A vote of thanks was given by Mr Yogendra thanking the committee and non-members for their kind contributions towards the event. Guests were thanked for their presence and support making it a success.
